6th grade Service Learning Project: Barakat Walk for Literacy

ELA: Students have just finished writing essays on their summer reading book, The Breadwinner by Deborah Ellis. Next students will be reading Seedfolks by Paul Fleischman and analyzing character traits of the diverse characters in the novel.

Math: Impact Math program has begun. Students started the year of with a review of Geometry and have moved on to Fractions and Decimals. Also, students will be reviewing division during Workshop times.

Science: Students are exploring the various careers of Scientists through research.

Social Studies: Islam and the 5 Pillars. 6S will perform the first 6th grade play.
